The Brief
The much-loved fashion retailer opened its flagship store in New Zealand’s Westfield Newmarket. GAXA as the the Client Side Project Manager, oversaw the project from start to finish. Services engaged included Design Guidance, Full Service Project Management, Landlord Liaison.
THE APPROACH
COS is a ‘destination for timeless design’ by providing a considered, minimal wardrobe that focuses on craftsmanship and a slow approach to fashion.
Gaxa Group worked in collaboration with New Zealand based design team, Ignite Architects to create an understated and effective retail space in Newmarket, New Zealand. The space was to reflect the brand identity of this staple fashion label and allow the clothes to shine.
THE OUTCOME
The facade is clad in natural volcanic rock, with the interiors finished in natural grey terrazzo. The seismic engineered steel staircase is not only a structural masterpiece but finished beautiful with a P5 level finish.
