The Brief
Zoe House began as a vision for balance and live. The client wanted a home that could hold the movement of family life while feeling like a retreat from it. They desired spaces that calm the mind and inspire the soul, where design is not just seen but felt. The home needed to carry the rhythm of natural light, the stillness of air, and the quiet confidence of timeless design.
THE APPROACH
We approached Zoe House with sensitivity to both form and emotion. Zoe means 'life' in Greek and stems from the clients lineage. Each room was designed to flow effortlessly into the next, connecting the architecture to its surroundings.
The palette was intentionally soft — stone, oak, and linen working together to create stillness. The joinery was sculpted as if carved from the same material that anchors the building, and natural light was treated as a design feature in itself. Every view, every texture, and every transition was crafted to bring the occupants back to themselves.
THE OUTCOME
Zoe House feels like exhale. It is a home that moves slowly, one that lets its inhabitants live with clarity and ease. The design feels grounded yet weightless, creating harmony between architecture, landscape, and life. It reflects what Studio GAXA does best — shaping spaces that nurture emotion, memory, and belonging.
